Lu Yanqing

U.S. Certified Public Accountant (Guam, Inactive)
After earning a Bachelor of Business degree from the University of Adelaide (formerly the University of South Australia), he moved to Japan. He engaged in accounting practice—handling both consolidated and standalone financial closing—at a Japanese listed specialized trading company and at the Japanese subsidiary of a U.S. heavy machinery manufacturer. Seeking more advanced accounting expertise, he joined KPMG AZSA LLC (KPMG Japan) in 2018. In its Consulting Division, he was broadly engaged in accounting advisory services, including the implementation of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS) for major manufacturers, the enhancement of management control, and support for the design and evaluation of internal controls (SOX). He then gained experience in cross-border M&A advisory at the investment banking division of Mitsubishi UFJ Morgan Stanley Securities, and after working at an accounting firm specializing in U.S. market entry, he became independent. Fluent in Japanese, English, and Chinese, he has built more than 13 years of experience at the forefront of accounting practice and consulting in Japan. He subsequently joined Nihon-bashi International Accounting Firm. Making full use of his language skills and expertise as a “bridge between Japan and the world,” he now supports the execution of advanced international engagements that demand high-level management judgment—including management support for overseas subsidiaries centered on China and the Greater China region, cross-border risk advisory, and outsourced (external) CFO services for foreign-affiliated companies.
