When I returned to Japan after working in Singapore, I briefly worked in the finance and accounting department of a listed company. During that time, I was surprised to learn that many Japanese companies were paying substantial fees for international accounting services. I also found that foreign-affiliated companies in Japan often faced difficulties completing even relatively simple tax-related procedures and incurred significant professional fees as a result.
I came to realize that there were relatively few accounting professionals in Japan who could provide services in English.
Although globalization continues to advance rapidly, many Japanese companies may hesitate to expand overseas or raise funds from foreign investors because of the limited availability of accounting professionals with international expertise. Similarly, foreign-affiliated companies may encounter difficulties establishing and maintaining their operations in Japan due to the language barrier and the complexity of the Japanese tax system.
These observations led me to establish an accounting firm specializing in international business support.
